Add your services

Everything a service carries, from its price and length to who provides it, what it needs paid up front, and the forms customers complete before they come in.

Your services are what customers book. Each one lives under Catalogue → Services, and everything else in BeNotely reads from it: your booking page, the calendar, reminders, receipts and reports. Add them one at a time here, or bring a whole menu across at once with Import your price list.

Adding one

Press Add service and fill in the sheet:

  • Name and description. The name is what customers see and book. The description sits under it on your booking page; a sentence or two about what's included is plenty.
  • Length and cleanup time. How long the visit takes, and any time you need after it before the next customer. Cleanup time blocks the calendar but isn't shown to customers.
  • Category. Pick one to keep a long menu tidy. See Group services into categories.
  • Start time intervals. How often a start time is offered on your booking page. Most businesses follow the setting for the whole business; set one here only when this service should differ.
  • Pricing. A fixed price is shown as is. Tick From price when the final price depends on the visit, such as a colour that varies by length; customers see "from $120" and the price is confirmed at the appointment. Enter prices including GST, or switch the toggle to enter them ex GST and we add it. See GST and your prices.
  • Who provides this. Tick the people customers can book it with. Each person's list is also editable from Team.
  • Bookable. Switch off to pause a service. It stays here with its history but leaves your booking page.
  • Deposit and fees. Follow your booking policy, take none, or set a custom deposit and missed-visit fee for this service alone. See Deposits and no-shows.
  • Forms to complete first. Attach a consent, consultation or intake form and customers fill it in after booking, before they come in. See Consent and consultation forms.

Editing later

Open any service from the list to change it. A price change applies to new bookings; anything already booked keeps the price the customer was promised. Pausing or archiving a service never touches past bookings or reports.

Can a customer book two services at once?

Yes. They pick the first, then add more from the same page, and the visit is booked back to back with one person where possible. See When a customer books two services at once.

What about extras like a hot towel or a treatment?

Those are add-ons, on the same page under your services. A customer ticks them onto a booking, and the time and price are added to the visit.
