Moving from another system? Bring your products with you, with their stock, so your shelf is counted from day one.
If your supplier sent you a list of everything they sell, add it as a price list instead. It's kept on the supplier, and products come across as you count, receive or add them.
Export your products
Most systems export products as a CSV or Excel file, usually from their inventory or product list, including Fresha, Square and Kitomba. Include stock on hand if your system offers it.
Import them
Open Settings → Import and choose Products, or search for Import products. Upload the file, or paste the rows from your spreadsheet with the header row if you have one. We read the file and show you what would come across. Nothing is saved until you press Import.
When the preview asks What's in this file?, choose Your products.
What the preview asks
- Which price do you pay? If the file has more than one cost column.
- Prices in this file are ex. GST or inc. GST, for costs.
- Grouped into one product, Tidy the names and Categories, as for a price list.
- Brand and Supplier, when the file doesn't have them, for every product in it.
- Prices changed on products you stock, when some of these products are already here: update or keep.
- How we read your columns. Every column and what we read it as. Press Change to fix one.
When you import
- Each product comes in with its sizes, barcodes, SKU, price, cost and low stock level, and its stock on hand as opening stock.
- Categories, brands and suppliers are added as needed.
- A barcode already on one of your products is left off, and the report says how many.
- Nobody gets a low stock alert.
Undo
For 7 days, Undo this import takes back the products it added, except any sold or counted since.
Which systems can I import from?
Any that exports products as a CSV or Excel file, including Fresha, Square and Kitomba. A file of up to 20 MB comes across in one go.
