Your calendar, day to day

Moving bookings and blocked time by dragging, changing a visit's length, and seeing last time's notes before the customer sits down.

The calendar is where the day runs. Most of what you do on it takes one tap or one drag.

Moving a booking

Drag a booking to a new time, or to another person's column, and drop it. You're asked whether to tell the customer, and the new time goes out by email or text if you say yes. On a phone or tablet, press and hold the booking for a moment until it lifts, then drag; a plain tap opens it, a swipe scrolls.

Moving blocked time

A one-off block, such as a lunch or a delivery, drags the same way. A weekly block is a rule rather than a slot, so it moves from its own sheet: open it and change the time there.

Changing a visit

Open the booking and press Edit booking to change the services, the extras, who takes it, the day and time, and the notes.

Length. The services add up to a length, and that's what the visit takes unless you say otherwise. Change it here for this visit only: a lash set that needs the extra half hour, a fill that never takes the full slot. The service itself keeps its usual length for everyone else. Change the services on the booking and the length goes back to their sum.

Quicker still: on the calendar, drag the bottom edge of a booking down or up and let go. The new length saves straight away. Blocked time stretches the same way.

Notes on a visit

A booking carries two notes, kept apart so neither overwrites the other:

  • Their note at booking. What the customer typed when they booked, such as "sensitive eyes" or "same as last time". Theirs; you never edit it.
  • Visit note. Yours. What you did and what to do next time: the curl and lengths, the colour formula, how the skin reacted. Type it straight into the box on the booking and it saves when you click away. It's also in the close-out, with last time's note shown above it, because that's when it's freshest. Written during or after the visit, on any booking, finished ones included. Only your team sees it.

Last time's notes

Open any booking and you'll see Previous notes: the customer's standing note, then each earlier visit's notes, newest first with the date and service. Your visit note first, their request under it. Right there before the customer sits down, without opening old bookings one by one. The same notes show under each visit on the customer's profile.

Reading the day on a phone

A short booking shows its time, the customer and the service on one line, so a day reads without opening anything. Taller bookings carry the service underneath and the times below that. Month view shows the service beside each name too.

Can I drag a booking to a day next week?

In week view, yes. In day view, use Edit booking to change the date, or open the booking and reschedule it.

Why can't I drag a block?

Only one-off blocks drag. A weekly block repeats, so a drag would be ambiguous: this week, or every week? Open it and change the time on its sheet instead.
