Calendar settings

Choose which days and hours your calendar shows, how several people sit in week view, which day your week starts on, what colours appointments wear, and what each shows.

Your calendar has a settings page of its own, under Settings, Calendar, or the Calendar settings button at the top of the Bookings page. These are choices you make once for the whole business; the things you change all day, like day or week view, who's shown and the slot size, stay on the calendar and are remembered for you alone.

Days shown

Days you're open hides the days your business is closed from week view, so a Monday-to-Saturday business gets six columns. A closed day still shows when something is booked on it or someone has been given hours for it. All seven days keeps every column.

Hours shown

Hours people work sizes the grid to the hours of whoever is shown, as it always has: your opening hours and each person's own hours decide it. The full day shows midnight to midnight. A booking outside the hours shown never disappears; the grid opens to fit it that day.

Several people in week view

Tick two or more people and week view can show them side by side: each day splits into a column per person, with the day across the top and each name under it. Click the day to see who's working, click a name for that person's day. Combined keeps one column per day with everyone's appointments together, told apart by colour. A closed day shades every column of that day; a day away shades that person's column only, and the others stay open.

Week starts on

Monday or Sunday, for week view and the month grid. If that day is hidden by Days shown, say a Sunday you're closed, the week begins at the next day shown; the month grid always starts on the day you chose.

Colour appointments by

Every team member has a colour, and every service can have one too (set it on the service, in Catalogue). This says which one an appointment wears on the calendar: Team member, so a full day reads by who's doing it, or Service, so it reads by what's being done. Every category has a colour, set on the category in Catalogue, and its services wear it, so a long menu reads by category. A service can be given a colour of its own on the service; a service outside any category has its own. An appointment with several services wears the first one's colour.

Appointment cards

The customer's name is always on the card. Turn Service, Price and the Note icon on or off to suit how much your team needs at a glance. The note icon shows when a booking carries a note, from the customer at booking or from your team.

Where are start time intervals, buffers and notice periods?

Under Settings, Booking page. They are rules about what customers can book, not about how your calendar draws itself, so they stay with the other booking rules.
