Your booking terms

Every booking page comes with clear terms built in - and you can add your own house rules on top.

Customers booking online want to know where they stand: what happens if they cancel, whether a deposit is refundable, what you expect on the day. BeNotely handles the first part for you automatically, and gives you a place for the rest.

The part that's automatic

Your booking page always carries terms built from your actual settings: your cancellation policy (the reschedule and cancellation windows, and what happens after them), your deposit rules, and any missed-visit fee. Customers see "By confirming, you agree to the booking terms" above the confirm button, with the full terms one tap away, and every confirmation email links them too.

Because these terms are generated from your settings, they can never be out of date. Change your cancellation policy and the terms change with it - there's nothing to rewrite.

Adding your own house rules

For everything that's yours alone - lateness policy, patch tests for colour, whether children are welcome, parking notes - go to Settings, open Policies, and fill in House rules on the Reschedule, cancellation and no-show policy card. Whatever you write appears with the automatic terms, on the terms page and in the booking flow.

Keep it short and friendly: three or four plain sentences beat a page of legalese, and your customers actually read them.

Where customers see the terms

  • On the booking page, linked right above the confirm button.
  • On their own terms page at your booking link followed by /terms - handy to share directly.
  • Linked from every booking confirmation email and the manage-booking page.
Do customers have to tick a box?

Not by default, and that's deliberate: a tick-box adds friction at the exact moment someone is trying to give you money, and confirming the booking is the agreement, with the terms linked right above the button. If explicit agreement matters for your business - patch tests, strict house rules - switch on Ask customers to tick agreement before booking under House rules on the policy card. Customers then must tick "I have read and agree" before confirming, and each booking records the moment they agreed.

Can my house rules override the cancellation window?

No - the cancellation window, deposit rules and fees shown to customers always come from your actual settings, so what the page promises is always what the system does. To change those, change the settings themselves on the same Policies page.
