Your notifications

The bell, email and text, what each event means, and how every person on the team decides for themselves what they hear about.

BeNotely tells you when something happens that you'd want to know about: a new booking, a cancellation, a deposit paid, a form signed. How you hear about it is up to you, under My notifications (open the bell, then the settings link, or your name at the top right).

Three ways to hear

  • The bell. Always on. Every event lands in the list behind the bell, so there's a record you can scroll back through even if you missed the moment. The badge shows what's new.
  • Email. Tick an event and it also arrives at your login email.
  • Text. Tick an event and it's also texted to the mobile on your team profile. Texts need a mobile there, and are part of the paid plans.

The events

What you see depends on your role. Someone who sees the whole book hears about every booking; a team member hears only about their own.

  • Bookings. A new booking is made, moved or cancelled; a requested deposit is paid; a customer signs a form.
  • Money. A gift card sold online; a payment disputed; payments paused. Some of these are locked on by email for the owner while the business has no email address of its own, because disputes have deadlines and there's no other inbox holding the record.
  • Stock. A product falls to its low-stock level.

Everyone sets their own

Each person on the team chooses for themselves. A manager can see what a teammate hears, but only that person can change it.

The Monday brief and other emails

Owners and managers can switch the Monday brief on or off here as well: a short email each week with the numbers that matter. The owner alone decides whether BeNotely's own tips and news emails arrive. Confirmations and receipts to your customers aren't notifications and don't live here; see Confirmations and reminders.
