If you run ads on Facebook, Instagram or Google, the one number that matters is what a click actually earned you. Connect your ad accounts' tracking IDs and your booking page and website will report every confirmed booking back to them - as a conversion, with the booking's dollar value. Your ads can then show your cost per booking and learn to find people who actually book, not just people who click.
Everything lives in Settings, under Booking page, on the Ad tracking card. You paste IDs only - there's no code to install, and tracking runs only on your own pages. Ad tracking is part of the paid plans.
Facebook and Instagram (Meta)
You need your Pixel ID - one number covers both Facebook and Instagram.
- Open Meta Events Manager (part of Meta Business Suite).
- Choose Data sources in the left menu. Your pixel (Meta also calls it a dataset) is listed there - create one if you haven't yet.
- The Pixel ID is the long number shown under the pixel's name. Copy it.
- Paste it into Meta Pixel ID on the Ad tracking card and save.
Bookings report as Meta's standard Schedule event. To check it's working, open your pixel's Test events tab in Events Manager, enter your booking page address, and make a test booking - you should see a page view straight away and a Schedule event when the booking confirms.
Google Ads
You need two short codes, found on the same screen.
- In Google Ads, open Goals, then Conversions.
- Open your conversion action for bookings - or create one: New conversion action, then Website, with the category "Book appointment" and "Use different values for each conversion" (we send the booking's value).
- In the conversion action's Tag setup, choose to install the tag yourself. Two codes appear: the tag ID, starting with AW-, and the conversion label, a short code of letters and numbers.
- Paste both into the Ad tracking card - Google Ads tag ID and Google conversion label - and save.
Google usually shows the first conversions within a few hours of a real booking. Both codes are needed: the tag alone records visits, the label is what ties a booking to your Google Ads account.
What your customers see
Nothing changes about booking. Your website's privacy policy automatically gains a line explaining that you measure your own advertising with Meta or Google - honest, and only shown while tracking is connected.
Want your website's visits in Google Analytics as well? That's its own quick setup.
