A referral program turns your happiest customers into your best advertising: they share a personal link, their friend gets money off a first visit, and once that visit happens, the sender gets money off too.
Set it up
Turn on Run a referral program under Growth, Referrals, then set the two amounts: what the friend gets off their first visit, and what the sender gets once that visit has happened.
Every customer automatically has their own share link - there's nothing to join. Sharing the link is how someone takes part.
How customers get their link
- From you - every customer's profile has their link with a Copy button, and a Send it button that opens a ready-written email or text.
- After a visit - the Share your link automation (under Growth, Automations) offers a friendly note with their link after a completed visit. Ask-first like every automation.
- After booking online - the booking confirmation screen can offer their link the moment they've booked. This one's your choice: turn it on or off on the Referrals page.
- In a campaign - the {{referral link}} field works in campaigns and messages, and fills in each person's own link.
How the rewards work
- The friend's discount applies automatically when they book through the link - on top of any sale price. First visits only, and nobody can use their own link.
- Once the friend's visit is completed, the sender gets an email with a personal one-use code for their amount - it works online or at the desk, and only for them.
- If the friend cancels, nothing happens - they can still be referred another day.
Where do I see who referred whom?
The Referrals page under Growth lists every referral: who shared, who came in, and whether the visit has happened yet. The Referrals report (under Reports) adds the numbers - and your best referrers.
Does the customer need an account?
No. The link belongs to their customer record with you, and the reward code arrives by email. An account just makes it easier for them to see and use.
