Connect your own domain

Point yourbusiness.com.au at your BeNotely site with two DNS records. Here's exactly what to add.

Your website starts on your benotely.com link. When you're ready for your own address, like yourbusiness.com.au, you connect it with two small DNS records. Custom domains are part of the paid plans. Don't own a domain yet? Start with Buying your own domain.

Connect it

  1. At your domain provider (wherever you bought the domain), open your DNS settings.
  2. Add an A record for @ (your bare domain) pointing to 76.76.21.21.
  3. Add a second A record for www, also pointing to 76.76.21.21.
  4. Back in BeNotely, open your website settings and add your domain. The status chip tells you when it's verified and serving.

Both spellings work once it's connected: www and the bare domain point to the same site, automatically.

DNS changes can take a little while to spread. If the status hasn't gone green after a few hours, the usual cause is a missing www record, so check that both records exist.

What stays on benotely.com

Your marketing pages serve on your own domain. Your booking flow, manage-booking links and customer sign-in stay on benotely.com, because that's where customers' accounts and details securely live, and it keeps those links working forever no matter what happens with a domain.

FAQs

Do I need to buy a domain through BeNotely?

No. Buy your domain wherever you like, then point it here with the two records above.

What happens to my domain if my plan lapses?

Your links never break. On the free plan a connected domain simply forwards visitors to the same site on your benotely.com address, so nothing is lost. Connecting a new domain is a paid-plan feature.
