The Corner Chair
Our story

About
Since 2015, give or take a mullet revival
Hugh Patterson grew up getting his hair cut two blocks from here, went to Melbourne to learn the trade, and came back the day the corner shop's lease went up. The Corner Chair opened in 2015 with one chair and a borrowed clipper set.
These days there are three chairs, a wall of vinyl that customers argue over, and a book full of regulars who've been coming long enough to have opinions about the biscuits. Gurpreet joined in 2019, Charlie signed on as apprentice last year.
The shop rule is Hugh's grandfather's: everyone leaves the chair better than they sat down. Haircut included.
